This half-day course (4.5 hours) equips healthcare professionals with knowledge and skills to provide CPR and defibrillations with the use of automated external defibrillator (AED), to relieve choking in responsive and unresponsive victim and to understand of the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. Participants will receive 2010 AHA BLS Provider Manual. AHA BLS Completion Card that is valid for 2 years will be issued upon successful completion of the course.


This is a half-day refresher course for AHA BLS providers.


This 2-day course enhances healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills to treat adult victims of cardiac arrest and other emergency situations including respiratory emergencies and pre-arrest emergencies. Participants will receive 2010 AHA ACLS Provider Manual. AHA ACLS Completion Card that is valid for 2 years will be issued upon successful completion of the course.


This is a 2-day refresher course for AHA ACLS providers.


This 2-day course provides healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills to respond to emergencies in infants and children, to recognize patients of at-risk and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest, to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in critical conditions of respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest. Participants will receive 2010 AHA PALS Provider Manual. AHA PALS Completion Card that is valid for 2 years will be issued upon successful completion of the course.


This half-day AHA course teaches non-healthcare professionals with video and skill practice on lifesaving CPR including infant CPR, child CPR, use of AED on adults and children, and relief of choking on adults, children and infants. This course is suitable for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and other parties who are interested to learn lifesaving skills. Attendance certification will be issued.


These are AHA courses which prepare non-healthcare providers with critical skills to respond to and manage emergency situations before the arrival of medical services. Participants include teachers, youth leaders, coaches, health and fitness club staff, correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, hotel housekeepers, or anyone who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED for employment or regulatory purposes. Courses include Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver CPR AED, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens, Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid.


This course, 3 sessions with 3.5-hour each, prepares participants the knowledge and skills of peripheral venous cannulation and blood-taking, and related safety precautions. Target participants are practitioners including physicians, nurses, midwives, radiographers, and non-registered practitioners including doctors’ assistants, healthcare assistants and radiology department assistants.


This course, 2 sessions with 3.5 hours each, equips participants with knowledge for ECG interpretation and skills to perform ECG.

The Centre will offer other courses based on the needs of healthcare providers from different disciplines for their continuing professional developments.
